We have ordered them according to three criteria. First, the people. Gilbert&#8217;s portraits following the vital stages from childhood to old age, the images linked to his relatives, those showing his closest friends and contemporaries with whom he maintained a significant relationship. Second, places, such as schools and universities of the various academic stages, landscapes linked to their lives, neighborhoods, homes, especially London, Beaconsfield and England.
