El Centro de Estudios y Documentaci\u00f3n G. K. Chesterton<\/strong> se define como una plataforma activa, abierta y participativa destinada a investigadores, estudiosos e interesados en la persona, la vida y la obra de Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874 \u2013 1936), con el objetivo de dar a conocer y divulgar su pensamiento y el entorno de sus ideas en la Europa de entreguerras y hasta hoy.<\/p>\n

El ideario de Chesterton en el mundo contempor\u00e1neo<\/strong>. Su pensamiento y su obra se convierten en un legado valioso que debe integrarse en el debate sobre la definici\u00f3n de Europa, con el objetivo de documentar, sobre todo a trav\u00e9s de las publicaciones peri\u00f3dicas, la influencia human\u00edstica de ra\u00edz democristiana en el proceso hist\u00f3rico de globalizaci\u00f3n que vive el mundo actual.<\/p>\n

\u200bLa vinculaci\u00f3n de Chesterton con Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong>. Las dos estancias que realiz\u00f3 en 1926 y en 1935 y su difusi\u00f3n, junto con la de otros escritores ingleses, foment\u00f3 un intercambio de ideas, visiones y modelos literarios. Inspir\u00f3 escritores, periodistas y pensadores, como por ejemplo Mari\u00e0 Manent, Pau Romeva o Maurici Serrahima, entre otros muchos, y un grupo de Amigos de Chesterton que impuls\u00f3 la traducci\u00f3n de su obra.<\/p>\n
